Mystery Babylon the Harlot

In this post I will describe to you exactly who Mystery Babylon is. Please stop bashing the Roman Catholic Church as Rome did not accept Christianity until 312/313AD under Constantine. The book of Revelations was written in 95AD. Please keep that in mind and use 95AD when you read about Mystery Babylon. The Ancient Babylonian Empire was called a woman (mother of harlots). Ancient Israel/Judah were considered women (Ezek 16:32 and Hosea)

Revelation 17:1-4 states that this woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, adorned with gold, precious stones and pearls. She also has a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. (compare with Ezekiel 16)

Revelation 17:5-6 states that she has on her head a name written, Mystery Babylon. John sees this woman drunk (past tense) with the blood of the saints AND with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. (Read Matthew 23:29-39)

Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. (According to John in 95AD, this harlot existed during this time, Babylon was called a destroying mountain in Isaiah)

The heads are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece which have fallen. The one is during that time was Rome which was still pagan. The other that had not come during that time is Mohammed (Islam). Islam comquered Jerusalem in the 7th century.

Revelations 17:11 states that the beast that was (sin), and is not (Jesus freed us from bondage of sin), even he is the eighth and is of the seven and goes into destruction. (All kingdoms who reigned over Jerusalem were of sin (unbelief, idolatry, blasphemers, adulterers, fornicators, etc...so in conclusion to this, sin would be in the eighth ). Remember the words of 1 John 2:18.

Rev 17:15 describes where the harlot sits. She sits on many waters. The waters are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. (notice the plural...This describes every nation under the sun)

Now, all of those who are of faith in God the Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ have been grafted into the covenant of Israel and not into a Roman Catholic Church because it never existed in 95AD! Rome was still persecuting the christians during this time.
Who John was trying to describe was the Israel. Peter was the apostle to the circumsion (Jews) and Paul was the apostle to the gentiles.

In conclusion, after much study; it appears that the Mystery Babylon is none other that Israel.
